About

About HBCU Japan: a developing education and experience initiative

HBCU Japan is a developing standalone initiative focused on creating practical education and professional pathways between Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Japan.

Japan in view. A place to learn, connect and broaden your perspective.

Why this exists.

HBCU communities have deep traditions of education, professional achievement, alumni support, and service. Japan offers a very different international environment in which students can develop independence, professional perspective, cross-cultural fluency, and global networks.

The initiative is being designed to connect those strengths through collaboration among educators, hosts and local support providers.
